Wiltshire suffer a second double defeat in the Unicorns T20 Competition

Wiltshire suffered a second double defeat in the Unicorns T20 Competition on Sunday when they lost both matches to Devon at South Wilts which means that they have no chance of topping the group and reaching the final.

The first match was reduced to  12 overs a side, because of overnight rain, and Wiltshire won the toss and chose to bat scoring 79 for 7 wickets (Tom Morton 40) with Matthew Petherbridge taking 5 for 8.  In reply Devon reached their target with 1 ball left scoring 80 for 7 wickets.  Brad Dawson took 4 for 13.

In the afternoon match played over 20 overs a side, Wiltshire again won the toss and chose to bat and were all out for 53 in 18 overs with no player reaching double figures.  Matthew Petherbridge took 3 for 12.  In reply Devon scored 54 for 1 wicket in 12 overs to record an easy victory.

Wiltshire's next match is in the Unicorns T20  Cup when they play Wales at Newport Cricket Club, on Sunday June 3rd starting at 11.30am.
