Wiltshire CCC finish Unicorns T20 competition with two defeats

Wiltshire finished their group matches in the Unicorns T20 Competition with 2 defeats against Cornwall at Beversbrook Sports Facility Calne on Sunday, leaving them in last place in the group with 1 win and 7 defeats.

In the morning match Wiltshire won the toss and asked Cornwall to bat.  Cornwall scored 152 for 9 wickets in their 20 overs with Mathew Rowe scoring 86 off 48 balls.  For Wiltshire Ed Young took 4 for 16.  In reply Wiltshire scored 140 for 9 wickets with Brad Dawson scoring 52 not out.  Cornwall won by 12 runs.

In the afternoon match, Cornwall won the toss and put Wiltshire in to bat.  Wiltshire scored 135 for 9 wickets in their 20 overs.  Jack Haines scored 25 and Jack Mynott 25 not out. Peter Trego took 3 for 18. Cornwall had no trouble in reaching the target scoring 136 for 2 wickets off 14 overs.  Thomas Rowe scored 51 and Peter Trego 47 not out. Cornwall won by 8 wickets.

Next Sunday Wiltshire start their 3 day Unicorns Championship programme when they play Dorset at Sherborne School on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday June 24/25/26th starting at 11.00am each day.
