Wiltshire CCC's Unicorns County Championship opener ends in defeat

Wiltshire's first match in the Western Division of the Unicorns County Championship against Dorset on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday at Sherborne School ended in a 92 run win for Dorset.  Dorset won the toss and chose to bat and were all out for 170 and were indebted to James Hayman's 46 off 52 balls batting at number 10 to reach this total.  Luke Evans took 6 for 55 for Wiltshire.  When Wiltshire batted they were all out for 153 with Ed Young scoring 35.  Jigar Naik took 4 for 35.

Dorset started their 2nd innings before lunch on the second day and were all out for 249, Luke Webb scored 76, Ed Ellis 65 and Scott Currie 42 before they lost their last 6 wickets for 22 runs.  Joe King took 3 for 76 and Ed Young 3 for 28.  This left Wiltshire 26 overs and the whole of the third day to score 267 to win.  They were all out for 174  with Uzi Qureshi scoring 42, Brad Dawson 36 not out  and Ryan Murray 30. Josh McCoy took 4 for 63 and Jigar Naik 4 for  68.
