Hello from Sri Lanka - Can you help us raise funds for Charity Pranav?

Wiltshire Cricket's Under 16 Girls and Boys teams are currently on tour in Sri Lanka where as well as playing Cricket we are trying to raise money to help provide equipment and cricket facilities for under privileged children from local schools.

Charity Pranav - Can you help raise some funding for cricket equipment and facilities for local children in Sri Lanka?

Wiltshire Cricket has been touring Sri Lanka with our age group teams since 2017. On previous tours we have asked for old cricket equipment to be donated that has then been shipped and presented by us to local children suffering from financial hardship. Unfortunately, for Covid-19 reasons this has not been possible this year. However, knowing just how much of a difference these gestures make and having seen what a humbling experience it is to be able to give something small back to those children much less privileged than ourselves we have come up with another idea …

Following conversations with our tour partners, Lions Sports Travel we have set up a just-giving page that will aim to raise money for Charity Pranav. Charity Pranav is a charity foundation that focuses on supporting underprivileged children in developing countries by offering them financial support for access into education and providing sports equipment with the aim of giving as many children as possinle the opportunity to play sports with the right protective equipment.

The money raised from donations will go towards funding a number of woven cricket mats that can be used in an outdoor setting by local children with a love for and desire to play cricket. We have already presented three of these mats this week but are hoping to be able to present to more local children before we come home and in future tours.
