Wiltshire CCC 1st XI season starts with defeat against Gloucestershire 2nds
Gloucestershire won the toss and opted to bat. Their innings was built around a fine 81 by Oliver Price. At one point it looked as though Wiltshire would be chasing 300, but the bowlers stuck at their task and restricted Gloucestershire to 230 for 8 from their 50 overs. There were 2 wickets each for Ed Young, Brad Dawson and Matt Henley.
In reply several batsmen made starts, but wickets fell at regular intervals. Neil Clark top scored with 23 and five batsmen made it into the teens, but sadly no further. There were starts for Chris Aubrey 16*, Jake Goodwin 16, Ed Young 15, Ben Draper 13 and an enterprising 15 from Joe King who got off the mark with a 6! Wiltshire were eventually dismissed for 119 in the 35th over.
