Historic Last Day of the Season for Wiltshire's Women in T20 Clash, before 2025 Women's Domestic Restructure!

A historic day ahead as Wiltshire Women play in their last fixture of the 2024 summer on Sunday 11th August at Brislington CC, in a T20 day with hosts Gloucestershire and visitors, Oxfordshire.

The significance of today comes from being the final fixtures before the Women’s Domestic restructure in 2025, which will see the County Women’s Game being split into a 3-tiered competition.

Wiltshire will be heading into these August T20s with a young squad, full of future talent as they look to take on Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. The hosts, Gloucestershire sit just 1 point below Wiltshire in the current league table, whilst Oxfordshire are challenging for the top spot. Both teams are expected to bring some exceptional players, with Gloucestershire naming professional cricketers, Mollie Robbins, Chloe Skelton and Emily Geach in their team for the day. Oxfordshire’s Norgrove will be a key player within their squad and supported by plenty of hard hitting batters and accurate bowlers!

Wiltshire’s squad for the day features plenty of their U18s squad, who have recently qualified for National Quarter Finals, reaching the last 8 in the country on their respective 50-over competition. The players are therefore full of confidence and there’s no doubt about the skill on show, with all bases covered between spin, seam and powerful batting!
Wiltshire’s line up however is missing usual Captain, Isla Thomson and so Emily Smith will be steering the ship for the final T20s of the year, having had an excellent season as captain for the Wiltshire U18s, leading them to 9 successive victories during the peak of the summer.

The August T20s are not to be missed and spectators and all welcome at Brislington CC to support the Wiltshire team.
